Dr. Wierman

Dr. Heidi Wierman speaks about aging and health

Dr. Heidi Wierman, a specialist in geriatric medicine with MaineHealth discussed Aging & Health: Opportunities and Challenges for our Communities. She described some of the things that individuals, families and communities should consider to help our aging citizens continue to be healthy, engaged and independent for as long as possible.

Other highlights of the event was welcoming incoming board members, thanking our outgoing members and presenting this year’s FCS Carol Kaplan Award winners: FCS BackPack Committee for all of the work they did to bring this project to fruition and now a part of FCS where we can continue to provide weekend backpacks with nutritious food for kids in need in our communities so they can continue to be ready to learn on Mondays when they return to class.
