About us:
Freeport Child Care Services is a 501c3 non-profit corporation providing programs and services for the residents of Freeport, Pownal and surrounding communities since 1977. Our budget is almost totally a combination of Federal, State and local dollars. We are run by an active Board of Directors and staffed by a full-time Executive Director with the help of our volunteers.
What we do:
  • Provide information and services to families seeking licensed child care.
  • Provide information and services to child care providers.
  • Provide Training, Support and Encouragement to Child Care Providers.
  • Ensure that all children in the family child care home receive nutritious,
    well balanced meals through the USDA Food Program.
  • Access community resources to collectively work together to further the
    well being of all individuals in need of child care.
  • To instill the love of books and reading to our youngest citizens, hoping to
    make literacy a lifelong priority.
