(refreshments 6:30pm/Discussion 6:45pm)
Freeport Community Services, 53 Depot St. Freeport, ME
This year’s Annual Community Night will focus on the “Low-Moderate Households Needs Assessment for Freeport and Pownal” that was co-sponsored by Freeport Community Services and Freeport Housing Trust. The primary purpose of this report is to identify the unmet needs of the low-moderate income population in Freeport and Pownal, including those currently served and unserved by Freeport Community Services and Freeport Housing Trust.
The findings in this report are organized around six themes as follows:
- Keeping Seniors Home
- Food Insecurity
- Decent Affordable Housing
- Health Care
- No Money for Emergencies
This is an opportunity for you to provide input about community needs here in Freeport and Pownal!
Members of the community are invited to join us in discussing this needs assessment and providing feedback. What do you identify as our community needs and strengths? We would like to hear from you about the six key themes identified in the assessment and whether there are additional unmet needs that you are aware of. Together, we will prioritize needs, identify gaps and resources and develop next steps.
You may access a full copy of the needs assessment here:
