We are pleased to announce that Tegan Milligan-Barber will be joining FCS as a Goodwill Vista Volunteer for the next year. Tegan’s role will be to work with FCS and the community to help develop age-friendly initiatives.
A native to Freeport, Maine, Tegan Milligan-Barber was influenced at a young age by the poised, hard-working, and genuine nature of the Freeport community. At age ten, Tegan spent 25 years in Tennessee where she gained a lot of life experience, education, marriage, and started a family.
Her first job, out of high school, was in the City of Chattanooga as a technician for a half-way house aimed towards mothers gaining custody of their children, post-incarceration. Since then she has worked in various capacities from a stay at home mother of 3, regional restaurant manager, and most recently the account manager for Catrina Milliman’s State Farm here in Freeport.
Her goal in life has always been to help others, so it thrills her to have the honor and opportunity of being the Goodwill VISTA with Partnership at Freeport Community Services.
Please stop in to introduce yourself and she looks forward to working with all the partners in the community on this initiative.
